MGI Legal operates under a consultancy agreement with Setfords Solicitors, a national law firm authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA No. 622970). This allows clients to receive personal, attentive service together with the resources and safeguards of a regulated firm.

Margarita Ivanova
Margarita is the founder and principal solicitor of MGI Legal, specialising in residential and commercial property transactions. She has particular experience in complex and unusual matters, including high-value transactions, challenging leasehold issues, auctions, new-build developments and properties involving title, planning or building-safety concerns. She is currently completing the Notarial Practice course at UCL, working towards qualification as a Notary Public. Margarita is fluent in English, Russian and Latvian.
Kateryna Yakubovska
Kateryna primarily supports our Ukrainian-speaking clients, ensuring clear communication throughout their transactions. She assists with property searches, follows up on outstanding matters, provides regular updates and plays a key role in post-completion work. Kateryna is currently studying towards her Level 6 qualification with CILEX, with the aim of becoming a Licensed Conveyancer. She speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian.
Veronika Tarasenko
A King's College London graduate, Veronika works closely with Margarita, assisting with property enquiries and the preparation of title reports. She provides regular updates and is the principal point of contact for many of our English-speaking clients. Veronika is currently preparing for the SQE, with the aim of qualifying as a solicitor. She speaks English and Russian.
Veronika Alijeva
Veronika assists with opening new files and coordinating the initial documentation required to begin each matter. She also helps provide updates to clients and other parties involved in the transaction. Veronika is the main point of contact for our Russian- and Latvian-speaking clients and speaks English, Russian and Latvian.
